Hetty Feather

Jacqueline Wilson is one of the top 5 authors in the U.K. She was born in Bath in 1945, but spent most of her childhood in Kingston-on-Thames. She always wanted to be a writer and wrote her first ‘novel’ when she was nine, filling in countless Woolworths’ exercise books as she grew up.Hetty was born in London 1876.she is a tiny,fiery-haired baby when her desperate mother leaves her at the Foundling Hospital.

Sent to live with a foster family until her sixth birthday,when she is old enough to go to school.She plays vivid imaginary games with her foster brothers and sisters.Together they sneak of to visit the circus ,and Hetty is mesmerised by the stunning Madame Adeline and her performing horses.Her happiness is threatened when she returns to the Foundling hospital,and to the strict regime of the cruel matrons.Above all,she is determined to find her mother-whoever she may be…                                 This is now a CBBC programme
